Winning moment

***LATE POST***

Was fortunate enough to cover Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's courtesy call, motorcade, mini welcome concert by GMA 7 and then him receiving the Order of Sikatuna from President Arroyo.

It was a tiring day indeed but the coverage went well.

Things I realized during the "Pacman day"
- Though all roads in Manila are always congested, his convoy managed to arrive in all his destinations on time (the power of police escort).
- People celebrate with the "winning" in mind and not with "who won"
- Atienza (Environment Secretary) is okay in person.
- Pacman doesn't have that much following after the Krista Ranillo issue surfaced
- Jinky is very prim and proper in person
- She's not "showbiz" at all (yeah I'm team Jinky)
- People (seen this in Mall of Asia during the mini concert) are not too dumb at all to believe that Manny is not having a relationship with someone else.
- No one's clapping when Manny tried to give good words to his wife
- Jinky earned "MORE" followers this time
- Two of their kids are kinda cute
- No "Team Jinky" seen during the entire day
- Get a Pilot (driver) during whole day coverages

Manila

I'm not a balikbayan to actually sing this song, but I believe this sums up what I am feeling right now.
And what better way to start this travel/life blog of mine? by reviving Manila's signature song (except for the Philippine National Anthem of course) "Manila" by Hotdog

"Manila"

Maraming beses na kitang nilayasan
Iniwanan at iba'ang pinuntahan
Parang bababeng ang hirap talagang malimutan
Ikaw lamang ang aking laging binabalikan

Manila
I keep coming back to Manila
Simply no place like Manila
Manila, I'm coming home

I walked the streets of San Francisco
I've tried the rides in Disneyland
Dated a million girls in Sydney
Somehow I feel like I don't belong

Hinahanap hanap kita Manila
Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga
Mga jeepney mong nagliliparan
Mga babae mong naggagandahan

Take me back in your arms Manila
And promise me you'll never let go
Promise me you'll never let go

Manila, Manila
Miss you like hell, Manila
No place in the world like Manila
I'm coming here to stay
